About Dan Kuzmic

Dan Kuzmic has dedicated his 25-year business career to management consulting at Bain, working across the US, EU, and UK. He most recently led Bain’s global Institutional Investor Practice from London and operates from Copenhagen since late 2024. With a passion for business and cultural transformation, Kuzmic has shaped strategy and driven significant business outcomes for both Bain clients and the Firm’s own operations. His expertise spans building global practices, executing strategic acquisitions, and working with PE sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, Fortune 500 boards, and mid-cap management teams. Kuzmic specializes in advising financial and strategic investors in M&A deal generation, transactions (buy-side and sell-side), post-merger integration and portfolio value creation. His industry focus includes technology, telecommunications, and media across The Americas, Europe, and Asia. Kuzmic joined Bain in July rising to Partner in by the start of 2008. He relocated to Amsterdam in 2009 to launch and lead the Benelux Private Equity Practice. Kuzmic was elected Senior Partner in 2012 and returned to the US to serve as the founder and Leader of the Private Equity Practice in the Southwest, operating from the Dallas Office. He moved to Stockholm in February 2017 to serve as Managing Director of the Nordic Region’s four Offices, where he also led the Firm’s largest ever acquisition and the integration of Qvartz, a competing strategy consultancy. In January 2021 he was appointed Global Leader of the Institutional Investor Practice, working from a base in London, then relocated to Copenhagen in December 2024. In this role Kuzmic led a global team across 15+ offices driving a quadrupling of Practice revenue in three years. Beyond his client work, Kuzmic was Global Lead for Bain’s Sustainability Partnerships and Alliances.
