About Dan Leonhardt

I moved up to the Peace Region in 2011, right after high school. I started out as a pipeline laborer, but over the years I've been a welder's helper, fitter's helper, spent two years land surveying, tried my hand operating equipment, spent almost two years as an SCBA/SABA service technician, and completed schooling for 4th Class Power Engineering and Gas Processing. My experience as a volunteer firefighter for five years with Charlie Lake Fire Department then led me to work several years as an Industrial Firefighter & Rope Rescue Technician for both of the main safety companies in FSJ. When the opportunity came up to pursue my schooling, I side-stepped into my current role, operating for one of the largest players in the NEBC oil and gas industry, where I've been for around three years - operating wells, compressor stations, and at gas plants. Currently, I'm a Steam Chief at a small refrig gas plant - where my passion for the industry, growing in my career, and taking pride in what I do is at the forefront of my mentality and philosophy.
