About Dan Lovinaria

Dan Lovinaria, DNP, MBA, APRN, CRNA was the former Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Nurse Anesthesia Program. He is a practicing nurse anesthetist at Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System and University of Minnesota Physicians. Dr. Lovinaria's area of interest focuses on opioid sparing/free anesthesia, substance abuse disorders, and diversity in nurse anesthesia. Dr. Lovinaria was the past-President for the Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) and currently MANA’s State Peer Advisor for over 1700 Minnesota members. He served as the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Communications Committee Chairperson for the past four years engaging over AANA members across the country through social media, AANAConnect, and national AANA meetings. Dr. Lovinaria was a board member of the Diversity in Nurse Anesthesia Mentorship Program encouraging and mentoring critical care nurses to invest their future career in nurse anesthesia. Dan is an avid lifestyle photographer, enjoys medical media consulting, modeling, foodie, and traveling. He lives in Minneapolis, MN.
