About Dan Matei

With a deep-rooted passion for technology and years of experience in the IT industry, I’ve had the opportunity to grow my skills in both software development and training. My journey has taken me across continents, giving me the chance to work with diverse teams and cultures—an experience that’s shaped not just my technical expertise, but also my perspective on collaboration and innovation. I’ve been fortunate to speak at both public and internal Microsoft events, where I’ve shared insights on the software development lifecycle and software engineering best practices. What truly excites me is exploring agile development techniques and finding smarter, more efficient ways to build great software. With a background in Mathematics and Computer Science, I’m constantly drawn to the evolving world of AI, especially ethical AI, and huge fan of Azure.NET, and Networking. With more than 20 years of experience in the IT field, I’m passionate about staying at the forefront of technology and bringing that enthusiasm into every project I take on. Outside of work, I’m an avid traveler and a big fan of staying active—whether it’s hitting the gym or going for a run outdoors. And yes, I’m a proud dog lover too!
