About Dan Mishich

My passion for finance and technology began in college. I originally majored in Finance. After my first IT course, I was hooked, and realized I could do both in Fintech and Insurtech. As a Sr. Technology leader, I manage with vision and purpose, lead from ambiguity to transformation, develop teams and attract talent. I innovate technologies and practices, am engaging, collaborative, and build relationships. An effective communicator across the C-suite, peers, and teams. I am hands on and lead by example. I am driven by innovation, looking at the possibilities of what could be and challenging the norm in search of ways of becoming a disrupter. Focused on overcoming obstacles versus changing course. Intrigued by how the internet of things and artificial intelligence will pave the way for the new future. I possess a unique skill of business acumen in conjunction with being technology savvy and bridging them together in aligning strategy. In my progression as a leader I have gone from managing projects to portfolios of projects and from leading resources for a business capability to leading resources for an entire business division. I have extensive knowledge in all facets of application development in architecting and building custom enterprise solutions to implementing software packages and integrating with 3rd parties. The teams that I have led have been comprised of associates that I hired and developed in conjunction with staffing from vendors that I built relationships with over time. I enjoy developing high performing teams that drive business value. In doing so I believe in celebrating life’s accomplishments but also raising the bar and continuing to challenge on how things can be done better, faster, cheaper. I believe in empowerment of individuals to make decisions but also hold ones-self and the team accountable for those decisions. In the end my goal is to motivate, engage, and make individuals feel good about their contributions.
