Currently, I hold the position of Director of the Risk Management, where I oversee TELUS’ Property Risk Governance Assurance Program. My professional journey commenced in 1991 when I joined TELUS as a Building Engineer, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the intricate building systems that support TELUS’ most critical network facilities. My unwavering commitment to the commercial building industry led me to acquire the professional designation of Real Property Administrator (RPA). This experience proved invaluable when I accepted a position in Risk Management as a Property Risk Manager in 2005. During my tenure in Risk Management, I spearheaded the development and implementation of a highly esteemed property audit and governance program, which is highly recognized by North American insurers. This program, renowned for its accountability, transparency, and efficacy in managing property risk, ensures that the utmost priority is accorded to the reliability of the TELUS network. My contributions have been recognized through two Awards of Excellence from insurers, two TELUS Passion for Growth awards, and the TELUS Legends award. In my personal pursuits, I engage in activities such as being out in nature, pilates, dancing, and spending quality time with my family. In 2018, my wife and I embarked on a journey into ballroom dancing, which has become an enthralling passion for us. It is an exceptional form of exercise that not only benefits the mind and body but also serves as an effective stress reliever.
