About Dan Rosie

I am a senior associate/senior ecologist, having 25 years of experience managing and completing biological and jurisdictional aquatic resources projects, consulting in both public and private sectors, primarily throughout Southern California, and into Central and Northern California. My specialized areas of expertise include program and project management, botanical and wildlife inventories and vegetation mapping, jurisdictional delineations and regulatory permitting procedures, habitat restoration planning and tracking, and listed and special-status species surveys, including numerous biological resources and habitat suitability assessments. I have authored many technical reports in support of compliance with and regulatory permit acquisition adherent to the California Environmental Quality Act/National Environmental Policy Act, California Fish and Game Code (CFGC), Clean Water Act (CWA), Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act, California Coastal Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, State and Federal Endangered Species Acts (CESA/FESA), Natural Community Conservation Planning (NCCP) Act, and other local, State, and Federal regulations and requirements. I hold a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) 10(a)(1)(A) permit to conduct protocol surveys for Quino checkerspot butterfly (Euphydryas editha quino) and listed vernal pool branchiopods; a Rare, Threatened, and Endangered Plant Voucher Collecting Permit; and a Scientific Collecting Permit.
