About Dan Seneker

I am passionate about higher education and am a professional that is student oriented and focused on student success. I have a broad range of experience, spanning over twenty years, in student affairs, student success, strategic enrolment management, communications, marketing, student recruitment, admissions, scholarships, student exchange and Indigenous services in Canadian Higher Education. This includes but is not limited to the creation and execution of communications and marketing strategies, recruitment and admission strategies, domestic and international travel, development and management of budgets, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, developing internal and external communications and leading a team to reach our mandates (enrolment, diversity, equity, quality and student retention). Moreover, I have extensive experience representing university, province and country internationally in over sixty countries and have participated in a number of foreign trade/education missions as well as conferences (including conference presentations). I am also a strong ambassador for Canadian education as a whole. In addition, I have experience in the construction sector working as a Project Coordinator for a large electrical distributor. I have managed projects worth millions of dollars ensuring that they are tendered, come within budget and are on schedule. This position also required developing partnerships with engineers, contractors, suppliers and architects. The budget management, project coordination and collaboration aspects of this role have provided solid experiences that I have adapted to my roles within higher education.
