Began a management career at Sears, Roebuck & Co in 1964 with a two year interruption to serve in the US Army as a Topological Engineer until mustered out in 1970. Returned to Sears as a manager in training in Ohio till being promoted to a regional position in Skokie, IL then on to store management in Wisconsin until leaving Sears to start my own business in 1978. Opened a franchised accounting business in Illinois which has operated under different names until incorporating in 2006 as Accounting plus Tax Solutions, Inc. Past President of the Independent Accountants Association of Illinois, 1992-1993 and 2011-2012; Past President of the National Society of Public Accountants, 2002-2004; Past President of the Accreditation Council for Accountancy and Taxation, 2009-2011. Been a member of the IAAI Board of Directors at various times from 1989 through the 2020, a member of the NSPA Board of Governors from 1996 through 2005 and the ACAT Board from 2006 through 2013.
