About Dan Steele

Upon graduating from Bloomsburg University in December of 2001 and working for the federal government in Philadelphia, PA for a short time I was hired and enlisted in the Pennsylvania State Police. I have always wanted to be member of this fine Department and have succeeded and continue to serve the residents of Pennsylvania with pride. The Pennsylvania State Police is the first and finest law enforcement agency in the nation. After graduating form the PSP academy I was assigned patrol at Troop M Dublin and worked at that location serving rural northern Bucks County for nearly 4 years. I was then selected as a Community Service and Public Information Officer in Troop M Bethlehem, serving three counties, Lehigh, Northampton and Bucks. I was promoted to Corporal in 2006 and assigned as a supervisor at the Skippack Station in Montgomery County. I remained in that position, experiencing a vast array of serious incidents and being in command of some of those as well. I had the pleasure of working with a great Command Staff and also became a member of the PSP Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) as a crisis negotiator in 2010. I was promoted to Sergeant in September 2012 and was assigned to the York Station as a Patrol Section Supervisor. I served as the District Office Commander at the Philadelphia District Enforcement Office of the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. This office is responsible for enforcement of the Liquor Code and certain criminal offenses in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties. I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and have accepted the position of Eastern Section Commander within the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. This position encompasses supervision of the Philadelphia, Allentown and Wilkes-Barre Enforcement Offices.
