About Dan Sullivan

My name is Dan Sullivan and I'm a CPA in Summerville, South Carolina. I'm originally from the Maryland/Washington, DC area where I graduated from DeMatha High School and then went on to graduate with a BSBA with a concentration in accounting from Catholic University in May of 2012, where I also played 4 years of college baseball in the Landmark Conference. I went on to work for a small accounting firm in Bethesda, Maryland for 4 years, where I also continued to study for my Masters Degree AND my CPA, simultaneously. I graduated with a Masters in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Maryland University College in August of 2016. I also passed the CPA exam while still in classes, and became a CPA in August of 2016. I moved down to South Carolina in September of 2016 and began working for an even smaller CPA firm in Summerville. I worked there and gained some valuable experience managing and growing that firm for 7 years. Currently I work with a medium sized firm based in the Charlotte, NC area as a Senior Manager II. Throughout my career I have developed a specialization in financial statement preparation, compilation, review, and audit, however I have also gained extensive knowledge in corporate and individual tax. This mix has given me the ability and privilege to see "how the gears turn" and has made me a better accountant because of it. I have worked extensively with clients in the construction, real estate, food and beverage, and healthcare industries and have had additional experience in various other industries.
