My career spans the semiconductor industry and the military Infrared industry. In the Infrared world I helped design and build various types of vertical and side looking pour fill dewars still used today, closed cycle systems using both 2 stage and single stage GM helium cooled cryostats (AKA)CTI now Brooks. J-T open cycle coolers and closed cycle sterling coolers for various tactical packages. My semiconductor experience started building vacuum system for a major vacuum deposition company which got me hooked on this industry. After working in HVM (high volume manufacturing) fabs, research semiconductor fabs and universities throughout the world for over 25+ years installing, maintaining, upgrading, every type of system imaginable I still love what I do! This industry never gets boring and I'm always looking to see what's ahead. Fab Equipment Installation. Is my current area of interest. After being the front line install engineer for a large Fab in Goleta where we installed over 150 pieces of equipment during a one year period dealing with all the problems associated with a build out of this size taught me a lot! Dealing with all the various contractors and the day to day issues was challenging but at the same time rewarding once everything came together!
