About Dan Vazquez

When I look back on my career – which has spanned leadership roles with the Columbus Literacy Council, Latin Harvest Church and Valor College – I recognize that the common thread running through all these experiences is an appreciation for the diversity of people. While I have helped individuals from my own culture gain English literacy and life direction, I have also traveled to over 40 countries to work with students. While the languages and customs may differ across cultures, I have learned that people share similar passions, ambitions and goals to improve their lives. In fact, I have dedicated my life to helping people achieve their life goals. My success is rooted in an ability to be highly agile and flexible. I am known for being thrust into situations with little information, quickly acclimating myself and finding creative solutions. Whether is hosting a “Walk in my Shoes” session at the last minute or joining unfamiliar non-profit committees, I love entering the unknown, finding clarity and making progress. This capability also earns the trust of my team members, who look to me for guidance during times of ambiguity and uncertainty. In the end, I am only as good as the teams I lead. With that, I dedicate significant time to helping my team members be successful. From working alongside team members to resolve challenges to helping them develop professionally, I am a hands-on leader who rolls up his sleeves to help others grow personally and professionally.
