About Dan Villescas

I have dedicated 28 years to K-12 education, serving as a bilingual teacher and principal, a successful turnaround principal (twice), a district administrator, and holding various roles in between. I have worked as a consultant in Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Okinawa, Japan, and have taught as an adjunct professor at two different institutions. I have enjoyed every minute of it and am confident that I have made a positive impact in the places where I have worked. Here is who I am and what I believe:>I am committed to continuing to be a man of faith.>I am committed to improving my mental and physical health.>I still have much to offer and am eager to continue serving in the field of education.>My focus is on leaders, leadership, systems, technology, MLLs, school transformation, and equity.>I want to continue to be passionate about equity and doing things in the service of kids (yes, it is THAT important to mention twice).>I passionately believe that technology and instruction must work hand in hand to engage students and improve instruction; this is a must, as their future will require it. I look forward to partnering with you and learning alongside you to make things better for our students, leaders, and school systems.
