About Dan Waller

Self motivated Hotel Leadership professional with several years of hands on experience in the hotel industry. I have developed an extensive knowledge in food and beverage operations and have the skills to be successful in a variety of situations. My strengths include; excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, relationship building and guest service. My passion is helping to develop great leaders and a strong team environment. I believe that a strong value based culture is the key to growing people and growing people will grow the business. In this regard my goal is to continue building strong working relationships within the organization and bring new ideas and strategies to the table as well as maintaining a positive attitude at all times. As Executive VP of Schahet Hotels I had the privilege of leading and mentoring General Managers, as well as creating a Manger-in-Training program to continue to grow leadership. My passion was to help any associate wishing to grow. To that end we created a Personal Development Plan for the associate to complete then moved to match them with appropriate mentor to guide them to his/her goal. Schahet Hotels honored me by awarding annually a Leadership award "The Dan Waller Leadership Award" to the Leader who most closely follows the values or Respect, Integrity, Service, Excitement, and who leads from the front. I am humbled by the honor and was invited back this year to present the award to the first winner.
