Over twenty years of management and leadership experience in Corporate Security and related functions with the Department of Energy, contractors and Protective Force Organization. •Managed over 300 exempt and non-exempt Security Police Officers. Developed a highly performing team through effective coaching, performance feedback, recognition, training and developmental opportunities. •Fiscal responsibility for a 53 million dollar Department of Energy direct funded budget. •Established and maintained the policies, processes, and systems for safeguarding classified information and Special Nuclear Material. •Direct responsibility for the Site Security Management Plan. •Served as the enterprise focal point for security incident response planning and execution. •Qualified Emergency Security Coordinator with 5 years experience in the Site Emergency Operations Center as Security Director. Qualified in all necessary NIMS courses and valuable experience with actual incidents of high public visibility and exposure.(IS 100, 200, 700 & 800). •Collective bargaining experience to include contract negotiations. Maintained quality labor relations through knowledge, skill, and respect. •Managed a successful training program at the Idaho National Laboratory to include the Explosive Breaching program, live fire ranges and live fire shoot house. •Twelve years Special Response Team experience with two years as a Special Response Team Sergeant to include tactical planning, training and testing. •Chaired the EFCOG (Energy Facility Contractors Working Group) Security sub-group. The purpose of the Safeguards & Security Working Group (SWG) is to provide a strong focus for meeting the Department of Energy (DOE) Security Management challenge by enhancing the protection of Special Nuclear Material (SNM), classified matter, property, and cyber systems.
