About Dan Williams

An experienced professional holding a degree in Chemistry and Management from Bangor university; with a specialism in Theoretical and Computation Surface Chemistry. I've been working for within the chemicals / automotive industry for around 9 years since graduation. With a technical and commercial focus on emissions after treatment systems I work with some of the largest OEMs in the Non-Road Mobile Machinery sector supporting the introduction of their after-treatment systems to meet the latest European Legislations. This role extends to the management of our on-road retrofit activities working with engineering partners to develop state of the art systems to improve emissions of older vehicles to enable them to enter into Low Emission Zones, E-Zones and other Urban Access areas across Europe. With a key interest in political affairs, I work closely with many politicly focussed organisation to further develop the adoption of retrofit emission control devices and tackle well known air quality issues in London and other European cities. Away from work I'm passionate about the outdoors; whether this be climbing a mountain, hiking or exploring new places across the UK and Europe. I'm very passionate about Scotch Whisky and have involvement with several distilleries and organisations supporting the industry. Throughout my student life I was heavily involved in the Students Union; serving as a senator and ultimately running (albeit unsuccessfully) to be Student's Union President. My work with the Union extended to the management of our Student Union radio station, where i was responsible for licences including those with OFCOM PRS and PPL.
