I am an experienced, time served Rotating Equipment Technician with a strong knowledge of pumps, turbines, compressors, fans and gearboxes. I have experience with planned and unplanned maintenence strategies as well as condition based monitoring techniques. Current roles and responsibilities include field supervision of contract staff, working to a planned maintenence schedule to retain HSE compliance, full overhaul and diagnostic of rotating machines, installations and alignments, updating plans and work scopes using SAP, permit to work systems, machine shop capable with experience on manual lathes, milling machines, boring machines, surface grinders and radial drills. I've completed a BSc Hons in Mechanical Engineering and I have aspirations to eventually move into an engineering based role. I have also previously completed a BSc in Electrical Engineering so can demonstrate a competency to work in a multi-discipline role. I hold an interest in completing an electrical based NVQ to provide me with the practical electrical background to carry out electro-mechanical repairs. Interested in roles that would allow me to spend more time with family. 3 weeks on 3 weeks off etc.
