I live at the intersection of people and technology. I have a broad understanding of technology; if you need someone to sit between the engineers and the customers, I'm your guy. I'm a skilled technical communicator, passionate about sharing knowledge with technical and non-technical audiences. An analytical problem solver with a proven record of accomplishment. I possess expert knowledge of, and experience with, a broad range of products, procedures, and technologies. I’m a flexible and responsible professional with insatiable thirst for knowledge. I specialize in communicating complex concepts to a non-technical audience, and winning the trust and respect of technical people. I tell stories and use analogy to make the most complicated of concepts real and tangible. I get through where other people haven’t. I have expert level knowledge in network design, administration, and troubleshooting (802.11, TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, VPN (SSL and IPSEC,) BYOD, etc.) at the LAN, CAN, and MAN level. I have managed desktops and servers running Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux. I know my way around authentication protocols such as RADIUS/802.1X and biometrics. I have integrated portable devices such as Android, iPhones/iPads, and standalone devices into wired and wireless networks. In short, I have expertise in almost all technologies that touch a small or medium size business. Now I'm ready to share what I have learned in a larger arena.
