About Dan Yang

I was the Geotechnical Lead for the Jacques Cartier Bridge (Montreal) Seismic Evaluation (2020), the Structure Option Study for the New Immersed George Massey Tunnel (Vancouver) seismic and construction engineering evaluation (2018-2019), and the Houston South Channel Cable-Stayed Bridge Independent Checking (2019-2020) and later the design checking (2021). I am currently involved the Design-Build Project for the Fargo-Moorhead Division Channel Project in the US. I was also the Geotechnical Lead for the Chacao Project's Supervision Team working for the Chilean Government MOP on this exciting and very complex double span suspension bridge located in the South of Chile (2015-2021). I have been working closely with world renowned bridge engineering colleagues on major cable-stayed, suspension bridge and sunken tube (immersed) tunnel projects around the world, in the USA and Canada. Highly specialized in soil-foundation-structure interaction, seismic design of deep foundations for major bridges and immersed tunnels, construction and load testing of large drilled shafts and large diameter driven piles. Having been involved in many design-build and conventional design-bid-build projects, such as Rion-Antirion Bridge in Greece, Rama 8 Bridge in Thailand, Sungai Johor Bridge in Malaysia, Ohio River Downtown Bridge, Tappan Zee Bridge, St. Croix River Crossing,Milton-Madison Bridge, Gerald Desmond Bridge Bid, Cooper River Bridge, J.J. Audubon Bridge and Indian River Bridge Bids, seismic retrofit of Caltrans steel and concrete arch bridges along Pacific west coast in USA, Golden Ears Bridge, Canada Line North Arm Bridge, George Massey Tunnel, William R. Bennett Bridge, Port Mann Bridge, A.L. Macdonald Bridge, Lions Gate Bridge, Walterdale Arch Bridge and Northeast Anthony Henday Drive project in Canada.
