About Dana Grafford

As someone that has worked since age 12 in a variety of different jobs, I recognize the importance of being a self-starter; communicating with both customers and coworkers; selling the product/service, company and self; being assertive; being a team player; accepting responsibility and many more things. I was raised on a grain farm and have worked for the family business for 25 years in one capacity or another. I have operated heavy equipment while installing septic systems, digging basements, farming and other tasks. I have poured concrete, set concrete forms, shoveled rock/dirt, finished concrete flatwork and other basic manual labor jobs. These hard labor jobs taught me the value of hard work and a gave me a sense of accomplishment that still drives me today. Being in charge of jobsites at an early age taught me to be extremely organized and be proficient in each aspect of the job. It also taught me the value of interacting with the public. In my small town, word-of-mouth is the best advertising, and I learned to use it. I apply these same principles to my job today. Over the course of my employment with CHS Inc, my job has evolved from basic customer service to an administrative assistant role to more of a finance/credit role. I am very hard working and obsessively organized. My customer service skills are top-notch. I maintain excellent relationships with my coworkers because I make being a team player a priority and accept responsibility for my actions. I have done extremely well in my current position as evidenced by consistently earning an ‘exceeds expectations’ on my annual performance reviews. There are limited options for advancement in my current position so I am open to opportunities.
