About Dana Lundgren

I have worked in Healthcare for over 17 years. I found my passion for leadership early on and have worked my way up into various leadership positions. As an Operations Manager I was responsible for the day to day operations of my department that includes support, finances, relationship management, policy/procedure creation, problem solving and constant improvements. I also created an enterprise remote monitoring program in collaboration with my nursing and provider colleagues both in my department and within the greater clinical practice. The development of this program was part of the Mayo Clinic Strategic Plan. I worked as an RN and Charge Nurse before being becoming the Nurse Manager of the newly constructed 32 bed Emergency Department in Mankato. I collaboratively worked with my physician leader and the trauma coordinator to sustain our level II trauma certification. I also helped to create an intake center after researching and visiting many other facilities. This was a new department at the time for the MCHS Mankato hospital that enabled receiving patient from other facilities in a coordinated fashion. In my current role as the Clinical Manager for a very busy Family Medicine department I have learned much about the organization, goals and priorities. I have successfully implemented a care model redesign that will set up the Family Medicine clinic to better adapt and change with the needs and priorities of healthcare.
