About Dana Morris

Multiple years of experience as a middle and high school English teacher in a special education environment. Extensive experience in lecturing for college-level courses, including at the community college level. Demonstrated ability to design and revise the appropriate curriculum. Expertise in selecting methodologies to teach based on student's objectives and proficiencies. Achievements & Accomplishments: Led a staff professional development regarding 360 Thinking: an executive function skill curriculum. Created and designed a three-level Language Arts curriculum. Designed a scope and sequence book for all courses at The Newgrange School and its sister school, The Laurel School. Served on the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools visiting team to Lacordaire Academy and The Purnell School. Train and mentor colleagues, including using technologies such as the PodKids program. Coordinated the development of PodKids, a technology-based grammar program. Corresponded with administration and staff and collaborated on writing the final report for the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) application process. Presented the PodKids program at the International Dyslexia Association Conference in Seattle, WA in 2007.
