About Dana Sitarski

Since beginning my education as a library technician I’ve found a passion for serving my local community, and fostering positive relationships between youth and reading. My studies have provided me with a variety of skills that include cataloguing, information management, and serving patrons. My in class experience has built a solid foundation to be able to continue improving my skills. I am excited to be entering onto such a diverse and truly important career path.I am very interested in continuing my education into environment and nature-based studies. I spent the first 14 summers of my life camping in Algonquin Park. That time absolutely formed my love for everything outdoors. I am dedicated to advancing outdoor literacy and environmental awareness and I believe libraries are essential for fostering people's connections with nature. Inspiring others, especially youth, to discover their surroundings, value the outdoors, and interact with the abundance of information on sustainability and wildlife preservation is my goal and passion.
