About Dana Slamp

IAYT-Certified Yoga Therapist, Founder of Prema Yoga Institute at Pure Yoga, and Program Director/Co-creator of Yoga Vida's 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training in New York City. Therapeutics educator and teacher trainer, specializing in individual client work and consulting on wellness programs for clinics, doctor's offices, condominiums, and corporations. My vinyasa classes have always been known for their spirit, strength, and safety. Delighted to join the senior staff at Pure when it first opened in New York, I expanded my teaching to Restorative, Slow Flow, and Yin/Yang classes, as well as teaching in Pure's renowned 200 hour Teacher Training and Professional Mentorship Program. As Program Director of Yoga Vida's 300 hr Advanced Training Program, I designed the comprehensive program to include some of NYC's leading yoga educators. Despite my love of classes, I saw the great need for one-on-one, specialized therapeutic teaching in the spirit of Krishnamacharya. Serving as Managing Teacher for Pure West, I managed 80+ amazing teachers and assigned thousands of private specialized yoga lessons for members, which led me to pursue specialization as a Yoga Therapist. I have taught internationally, contributed to countless teacher trainings, and presented in the U.S. at the Telluride Yoga Festival, Wanderlust in the City, and at the Yoga Journal Conference.
