About Danae Okeeffe

I have been fortunate enough to be able to combine a career in business development and knowledge transfer with sport at variety of levels from grass roots to international level. This has allowed me to develop and blend a range of skills in diverse and dynamic environments requiring dedication, self-discipline and excellence. In these environments, I have been required to rapidly acquire an understanding of complex concepts and information, assess it, and provide novel solutions; communicating these to a wide variety of audiences, from corporate Chief Technology Officers, primary producers, small business owners, politicians, funding bodies, sponsors and young or developing athletes. By linking concepts and providing connections between stakeholders, I have promoted their organisational and personal success. I have achieved this by developing strong skills in contract, policy and legislative interpretation, and project development and management to ensure successful outcomes and compliance with legislative, budgetary and acquittal requirements.I am an internationally ranked equestrian athlete breeding and developing horses aimed at the elite levels of the sport. This has allowed me to develop an understanding of international markets, cultural influences and business. As a coach, I have worked with equestrian and paraequestrian athletes from varying backgrounds to assist them to achieve their personal goals ranging from skills development to national championship success.
