In my most recent role as Executive Director of Talent Acquisition for San Francisco Unified School District, I led a team of 35+ in hiring over educators annually—driving systems-level change through inclusive recruitment strategies and culturally responsive practices. My professional journey bridges education, human capital, and journalism. I've designed anti-bias hiring systems, built pipelines for diverse talent, and written for outlets like KQED, The East Bay Express, KALW, and The Oaklandside—highlighting the cultural narratives that shape the Bay Area and beyond. Whether leading large-scale staffing efforts or documenting hip-hop history, I operate at the intersection of people, policy, and purpose—committed to building just systems and telling the stories that matter.
