About Dane Peterson

In the arts world, having resided in New York City, Mr. Peterson served as the Founding Vice President of the Birmingham Area Theatre Alliance (2003), the Theatre Director for John Carroll Catholic High School (1997 to 2007) and Founding Artistic Director at the Dane Peterson Theatre Series. He recently served as the Director of Production and Education at Birmingham Children’s Theatre, the resident professional theatre company at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. Currently, Mr. Peterson is the Director of Theatre Arts at Indian Spring School, a top boarding and day school for grades 8-12 just south of Birmingham, AL. Mr. Peterson, an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and an Equity Membership Candidate with Actors' Equity Association (AEA). As an educator, Mr. Peterson has been recognized numerous times in the "Who's Who Among America's High School Teachers"​ as well as being given the "US Presidential Scholars Program Teacher Recognition Award" by the US Department of Education in 2001.
