Destiny doesn’t write us, and we don’t write it either. Destiny is negotiated. Reality faces us with our vision, values, and needs, and we face reality as it is: options, rewards, limitations, and uncertainty. When all is on the table – what could be and what is – we hash out a deal. Maybe we pay attention in exchange for insight, spend time wisely in exchange for the best opportunities, and give our efforts prudently in exchange for sustainable growth. Facing risk, we can experiment, establish probabilities, collaborate to minimize drawbacks, and take action to maximize benefits. Approaching burnout, we might innovate. And if reality haggles up challenges, we can haggle back with capability. In our audacity to dream, plan, work, measure, adapt, and rally together – we negotiate a deal with reality. That deal is destiny. I love a good deal. As a digital marketing content strategist, I'm excited to work with passionate people and big teams to negotiate extraordinary deals with yearly, quarterly, and daily realities. I analyze, stabilize, or establish content performance metrics to understand what reality wants out of the deal, and I develop content standards, training resources, and quality assurance programs to ensure content creators can give reality what it wants. The only thing I love more than delivering this leverage is helping organizations develop and foster team culture. Focus groups, surveys, workshops, teambuilding programs, social events – you name it, and I'll design, produce, and lead it to bolster the cultures that transform missions into impacts. After all, getting an extraordinary deal starts with an extraordinary vision.
