With over 20 years in the mortgage industry, I bring a wealth of experience, including 8 years managing a team of up to 13 underwriters and serving as AVP for 7 years. My background encompasses 10 years in non-conforming/non-QM loans and 15 years in conforming loans, with expertise in underwriting both residential first mortgages and home equity loans. I have a strong understanding of conventional guidelines from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, including Harp/Hamp, high balance, jumbo, and non-conforming loans, as well as bank and investor requirements. I excel in manual cash flow income calculations and have experience with a variety of income sources including corporate, partnerships, K-1s, trust income, Schedule E rentals, and S-corp tax returns. Additionally, I have worked with full documentation and alternative documentation loans, including DSCR, ITIN, bank statement, and P&L loans. My experience spans both sales and underwriting, and I have a solid track record in training and auditing conventional, FHA, and non-conforming loans, both prior to and post-closing. I have completed mid-year and annual reviews, coaching, and mentoring, along with a focus on recognizing and reducing fraud.
