About Dani Harrison

I’m an experienced HR professional with a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management, and skilled in both strategic and operational HR. My skillset includes setting HR strategies & KPIs, HR Management, employee relations, company restructuring and HR change initiatives, performance management, recruitment & selection, compensation & benefits, policy development, wellbeing and ESG initiatives. Currently, I lead the People & Culture area at PHARMExcel, where I’ve spent 5 years shaping and growing the department. I sit on the Executive Leadership Team and work closely with other department leaders to align our strategies with organisational goals. Key highlights: • Led PHARMExcel to achieve Investors in People Silver (2020) and Gold (2023) • Developed and scaled the People & Culture function from scratch • Introduced the performance appraisal and management framework • Played a key role in achieving ISO 9001 accreditation, leading on all people-related components • Created core HR/P&C policies & SOPs • Champion wellbeing and charity initiatives, including raising £1,070 for Alzheimer’s Society by swimming 10k My HR journey began at NatWest Bank, where I moved into HR after seven years in branch banking, supporting both regional and group head offices. Outside of work, I’m enjoy physical type challenges, fundraising and competitive swimming in the pool and open water - a combination that keeps me energised, focused, and happy!
