About Dania Bounse

My name is Dania Bounse, and I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I received my business degree in Marketing with a collateral in Human Resources Management. I have always been willing to work with others and be adaptable. When I worked in the Student Union as a set-up team member, I had to be ready for any changes made by event organizers. It is something that I worked on while pursuing my marketing degree. Some of my business interests include highlighting the upward trend in marketing women's sports and introducing people to different cultural experiences. My experience with working in my community's international food festivals have prepared me to pursue a career where I can utilize my knowledge in marketing for a wide range of individuals who may not people culturally aware. For example, the community food festival is an event that has gone on for many years, but it was not something that was advertised to people within the Knoxville community. To increase interest, interviews were done with the local media in order to educate the public on what the fair was. To broaden our reach even further, social media advertisements such as creating a Facebook page that updated frequently and sending out an event reminder for people to respond to was done. Because of the exponential growth in interest, the event moved to World's Fair Park. The location move allowed more people to experience different cultures without leaving Knoxville. My career goal after college is to work for a company that causes positive change. I want to broaden people's knowledge of what we have within our own borders.
