About Danial K. Lam

Danial is the Senior Managing Director & Head of Legal for OMERS Private Capital. He is responsible for supporting and developing private investment strategies and managing legal affairs globally. Danial joined OMERS in 2010. Most recently, he was part of the Capital Markets group. There he focused on relationship and structured investments, supported investment teams across credit, equities and multi-asset strategies, and led the global legal team. Before that, he was with the Strategic Investments group and involved in executing strategic initiatives for OMERS, including establishing investment platforms and partnerships of capital with sovereign and institutional investors. Danial was previously part of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group at Torys LLP, where his practice focused on corporate/commercial and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and corporate governance. Danial received his BA (Philosophy) from University College, University of Toronto, and his LLB from the University of Western Ontario. He received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and serves as a board member and/or officer on OMERS investment entities and portfolio companies.
