About Daniece Burris

As a Recreation Administrator at City of Clovis, New Mexico, I enhance the quality of life for residents by providing exceptional recreational opportunities. I have over 20 years of experience in customer service, program management, and leadership, having retired from the United States Air Force as a Fitness Center Director. I am also a Certified Manager through the ICPM program, a Certified Project Management Professional, and have obtained Google certifications in IT Support and Networking. In my current role, I oversee the daily operations of five facilities, manage staff, coordinate events and activities, and ensure the maintenance and safety of equipment. I have created new programs such as the Floating Pumpkin Patch and Easter Hunt for Dogs, which have increased the community engagement and satisfaction. I also use my social media marketing, education, and teaching skills to promote the recreation center, conduct outreach, and provide training. My mission is to make the City of Clovis a more fun, healthy, and inclusive place for everyone.
