Daniel is a skilled Industry pharmacist, senior scientific advisor and drug safety scientist at My Medical Department. Clinical trials experience at MMD includes reviewing job bags as part of a MLR team within Veeva for a digital therapeutics clinical trial, project management / CRS for a hematology digital device clinical trial conducted in the USA, running data cleaning activities for a large hematology clinical trial with over 500 enrolled patients in the USA and Germany (medical data cleaning, protocol deviation identification, query management), lead clinical research scientist for a vaccination trial in New Zealand and lead clinical research and drug safety scientist for an interventional paediatrics trial in autism spectrum disorder with sites located in New Zealand, Australia and the USA. As part of the Master of Pharmacy program he completed a research thesis based on antipsychotic side-effects in children. Due to the lack of research in this demographic he conducted a literature review and began to develop patient information leaflets to fill the gap in research. This research involved working with the Children’s youth and Mental health service, pharmacy department from the Queensland Children’s Hospital, various child psychiatrists and a variety of other professionals from the paediatric obesity working group. He developed a patient friendly information leaflet that also targeted poor literature families and to provide education seminars for healthcare practitioners in the children’s hospital to improve healthcare outcomes in this demographic.
