Research-driven healthcare professional focused on providing high-quality patient care, technological innovation and improving both perioperative and postoperative surgical outcomes. At VCU Health System, I currently serve as an intraoperative neuromonitoring technologist and clinical researcher specializing in multi-modality IONM for adult and pediatric cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and clinical transcranial Doppler ultrasonography (TCD) in all clinical environments. I also perform clinical TCD and cerebral oximetry neurophysiological monitoring during autonomic tilt table testing. My current clinical research is focused on the use of multi-modality IONM in cardiac and vascular surgery and improving patient neurological and secondary outcomes. Previous clinical experience in multi-modality intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring including EEG, EP and EMG during endovascular, neurosurgical and complex & minimally invasive spine surgery. Additional clinical experience in adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG in critical care, pediatric and adult ambulatory EEG, and epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU).
