About Daniel Ahlqvist

The most valuable days in my professional life are the ones I spend meeting users. Users typically have a goal, are using a system as a tool, or having complicating factors around. No matter if it’s a complex business system or a physical installation just for entertainment, that situation needs to be understood. I think that is the key when creating a great user experience. For me, the full spectrum of product design, from the earliest pre-studies to prototyping and pixel-pushing, and later on evaluation of the final product, creates a sense of ownership. And with ownership comes dedication. As a UX designer, I don’t just deliver designs, because I feel it is absolutely crucial to understand underlying business logic and product management to make clever decisions.I have solid experience working in cross-functional agile development teams, in close collaboration with developers, business analysts, product owners and other designers. My master's degree in interaction design, in combination with my background studying software engineering, also allows me to communicate efficiently with the ones who code. And just so you know, if you hire me, you will have someone onboard (too) eager to proofread and correct grammatical errors, no matter if you want it or not
