About Daniel Amani
I’m a medical doctor and public health professional (MD, MPH Global Public Health) with 5+ years’ experience strengthening health systems and improving health outcomes through evidence-based, community-centred approaches. I’m currently an intern at the Centre for Primary Health Care (Infectious Diseases Unit) at Africa CDC, where I contribute to continental public health initiatives. My work spans program management, data analysis and visualization, surveillance intelligence and digital health projects. As Co-founder of ABANA, I led integrated nutrition programmes that reached children, managed partnerships and secured program funding in the DRC. At Africa CDC I supported continental NTD microplanning (May–Sep 2025), synthesizing national plans into actionable recommendations. I also coordinated a yellow fever campaign for people with 95% coverage at FOMULAC Katana and strengthened institutional communications at Senghor University.
