About Daniel Arun Robinson

Daniel is a registered psychotherapist working in Toronto. He currently works at Central Toronto Youth Services where he manages the Pride and Prejudice program, supporting the mental health of 2SLGBTQ+ youth (age 12 to 24) and their families. In his leadership, Daniel prioritizes anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice, creative and patient-centered program development, and excellence in clinical work and self-care practices. Daniel also runs a private practice where he provides trauma-focused therapy, attachment based therapy, grief therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy. All modalities are practiced through a ARAO, strengths-based, and harm reduction framework. Previously, Daniel worked in Toronto hospitals and supported the mental health of patients and families in palliative care, complex continuing care, and acute rehabilitation. He also worked as a sessional lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University and taught topics in wellness, self-care, and music. As a member of the queer and brown community, Daniel always strives to create a space that invites kindness, gentleness, and unconditional high regard. He longs to own a cabin on a lake and surround himself with nature, animals, friends, and family.
