About Daniel Ascencio

Developed client relations in a multitude of customer service/leadership roles through the last 8 years. The skills I developed in tandem with my time at CSULA helped me become a results-driven and detail-oriented designer and Administrative Specialist. At CSULA, I gained the formal education as well as practical experience working alongside companies like MullenLowe and Blue Can/BluWave Water. Through my Art Direction class, I worked alongside agency MullenLowe, US under the guidance of Creative Director Sean Wright. My work gained the favor of their client, later being featured on a California Avocado Commission social media campaign in March of 2021. Outside of design, I served in supervisory positions in the food industry at Boba Indeed, Sam's For Play and Chipotle for 5 years and later grew into an office support role and leader at H&R Block. I developed my skills and reputation at H&R Block by being a problem solver/forward thinker with my team leaders and district manager. I later enjoyed working at a temporary assignment assisting the HR Department for the County of Sonoma as a senior office assistant through Nelson Connects while fostering new professional relationships. This work developed my desire to apply my design work in pursuit of public service/community outreach as I really enjoyed the sense of purpose I was provided in the context of serving a community. I am currently serving as an Administrative Specialist for the amazing management team at Citadel Outlets, learning new skills and further developing my professional career.
