About Daniel Ayuch
I am a professor of New Testament at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology at the University of Balamand, where I have been a teaching scholar for over twenty years, with a special focus in ancient languages, narratology, and the society of Early Judaism and Early Christianity. My research work is based on linguistic and narrative text analysis. My fields of interest include the Synoptic Gospels, the Book of Acts, and the Arabic translations of the Bible. My Ph.D.(Dr. Theol.) degree is from the University of Münster (Germany). My thesis on Lucan social ethics was published in Münster in 1998 (ISBN 3-89375-166-1). I wrote several research papers for international conferences and consultations in Lebanon, the Middle East, Europe, South, and North America. I am a member of the Society of Biblical Literature in the USA (SBL), the Orthodox Center for the Advancement of Biblical Studies in the USA (OCABS), the Biblical Federation in Lebanon (BFL), and the Biblical Federation in Argentina (ABA).
