About Daniel Babos

As the Head of Department at Magyar Nemzeti Bank, the central bank of Hungary, I lead a team of economists and analysts who provide research and analysis on various economic and financial topics, such as household savings, government bond market development, domestic secured and unsecured interbank markets, and more. I have more than 10 years of work experience in the field of economics and finance, and I hold a Master's Degree in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest and a CFA charter. I am also the chair of the Hungarian Benchmark Fixing Committee, a body that oversees the financial benchmarks held by the central bank and ensures their reliability and integrity. I also contribute to the formulation and implementation of the bank's strategic objectives and policies, and I communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as the management board and government agencies. My mission is to support the bank's vision of promoting the economic and financial stability and prosperity of Hungary, and to provide high-quality and timely economic information and advice. I enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where I can learn from and share my expertise with my colleagues and peers. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and understanding of economics and finance, and I seek to apply my skills and competencies to address the challenges and opportunities in the current and future economic landscape.
