About Daniel Baker

Through my years in engineering I have gained the skills and experience to effectively maintain and operate heavy industry equipment and machines. My core trade being electrically based, including instrumentation works, I have collected skills and knowledge to competently fault find any electrical circuit and engineer a solution to any problem. I am also very competent and understanding with mechanical equipment to allow basic fault finding and problem rectification.Since the end of my apprenticeship I have also been fortunate enough to be heavily involved within high voltage systems and their daily running. At my previous employment a large HV network supplied the site and surrounding customers with voltages including 3.3kv, 11kv, 33kv. This included a large variety of switchgear and transformers which were switched out for maintenance and testing daily.Since starting with Dong Energy I have completed their high standard of Senior Authorised Person training at 34kV. This entails regular substation/turbine maintenance and breakdown attendance, whilst ensuring at all times that safety from the system is being achieved.
