Background
About Daniel Banker
As Director of Financial Systems, I lead the IT processes behind month-end financial close, overseeing revenue reporting for SiriusXM’s $8.95 billion annual revenue, including subscriber revenue, revenue share, and tax remittance. These reports integrate with downstream systems like Blackline, SAP, and Oracle Financials. I also manage the full product lifecycle and daily operations of the B2B Commerce Platform for Commercial Resellers and Vehicle Fleets. With expertise in Data Science, Subscription Billing, Accounting, AWS, and Salesforce, I drive efficiency and accuracy across financial operations. At the forefront of AI, I leverage machine learning to detect fraud, support finance teams, and empower developers to build smarter systems.MBA, Rutgers Business School - Management and Business Strategy, EntrepreneurshipMS, Syracuse University, Information Management, School of Information StudiesKey Technologies and Areas of Focus:Month-end-close, Revenue Recognition, Revenue Share, Tax Remittance, Subscription Billing Systems, ERP, SOX, Python, SQL, Data Science, Salesforce, AWS, Zuora, Stripe, Automation
