About Daniel Beales

I am a mechanical engineer, with a BEng Honors Degree from Brighton University in England. Since 2017 I have been employed by Volvo Cars Group (Suspension department) working as a Design Engineer developing a number of different components for the last three vehicle platforms. Prior to this I worked at Volvo Cars Group with Cost Saving and Product Rationalisation in the Exterior department where I gained a good insight into lighting systems, cleaning systems and painted body & trim. Prior to my time at Volvo I was employed as a mechanical engineer at Flowserve Flow Control UK Ltd, primarily working with the development of their highly respected Worcester brand ball valves and Norbro series pneumatic actuators. Here I was able to experience working in the fields of R&D, Failure Analysis, FEA, Design and Fluid Mechanics. During my time at the University of Brighton, I received several awards including The Arthur Till Best Acheiver Price "For outstanding students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievement" as well as a university scholarship.
