Daniel Beilman, teacher, bassoonist, contrabassoonist, and entrepreneur, has been heard in concert across the USA and Europe in major concert halls including the Royal Concertgebouw, De Doelen, KKL Luzern, Elbphilharmonie, Paris Philharmonie, Berlin Philharmonie, Boston's Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall, and Sanders Theater, Mechanics Hall, Kentucky Center for the Arts and Santo Domingo's Teatro Nacional in the Dominican Republic. He has performed regularly with groups in and around Boston including New Bedford Symphony Orchestra, Lexington Symphony, Symphony New Hampshire, Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra, North End Music and Performing Arts Center, Gloriae Dei Artes Foundation, Chorus of Westerly, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Providence Singers, among many others. Some past summer activities include the Lucerne Festival, Talis Festival, Cortona Sessions for New Music, Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific, Masterworks Festival, Curtis Institute Bassoon Workshop, and Ball State Bassoon Camp. As a teacher he has been in residence with the Fundacion Sinfonia with the National Youth Orchestra for the Dominican Republic, given workshops at the University of Massachusetts-Boston, Phillips Academy Andover, and Boston University. He holds faculty positions at Phillips Academy Andover and Dexter Southfield School. Previous faculty appointments include Brookline Music School and Note-Worthy Experiences. He holds a Bachelors degree in bassoon performance from The Boston Conservatory, has attended Ball State University and a Masters of Music from Boston University College of Fine Arts. His primary teachers include Nancy Goeres, Ronald Haroutunian, Adrian Morejon, Margaret Phillips, Keith Sweger, and Roger Soren. In addition to his playing and teaching activities, when Daniel is not busy making reeds for his clients he enjoys spending time in the garden, researching botanicals, hiking, baking, and going on adventures with his Shar Pei, Kaija.
