About Daniel Bertram

As a certified educator, my career has been driven by my passion for fostering a positive rapport with students, which enables children to overcome barriers to achieve academic growth. I am Looking to lead a student-centered P.E. program to improve student engagement and academic achievement through authentic relationships and data-driven instruction at a globally-minded school. I am an experienced teacher in both face-to-face and virtual classroom environments with 7 years of classroom teaching experience and over 17 years of coaching experience. I am highly organized and a flexible team player. I flourish in an environment where I am able to collaborate and communicate with my colleagues, students, and families to set every student up for personal growth and success. I have been in the role of Physical Education, Health, and Dance teacher at the STEAM & Gifted Academy for middle school since the Spring of 2017. This is a middle school for the gifted & talented program in the Ferguson Florissant school district. At our school, we focused on gifted enrichment, STEAM learning, project-based learning, and collaboration. I am excited to transition my passion for helping students discover their love for physical education and health in a new environment! Along with teaching, I love participating in a variety of hobbies. You can commonly see me running around some of my favorite local parks. I love to travel! In fact, I've been to 29 countries across Europe and North America. Taking dance classes is also one of my passions, particularly in the modern and jazz styles. I also enjoy working on my own personal fitness goals at a local gym along with playing soccer recreationally. One of the guilty pleasures in my life is food, and I try to experience one new amazing local eater weekly.
