About Daniel Bester

Daniel Bester is a fully accredited family mediation with the Family Mediation Council. He runs Surrey Family Mediation from his home in Woking, Surrey. During 2019 Daniel qualified as a family mediator with the Family Mediators Association. Later that year he set up Surrey Family Mediation. Daniel has full accreditation with the Family Mediation Council and the College of Mediators. He specialises in contact and living arrangement disputes and is a qualified Child Inclusive Mediator. Daniel is also available to train individuals and companies on Dealing with Vulnerable Customers. Daniel established a Health and Beauty company in 2008 which is still a going concern. Daniel moved from South Africa to the UK in 2007 and spent the next year working as a Social Worker at Surrey County Council. During 2005 Daniel completed a Divorce and Family Mediation course at the Family Life Centre in Johannesburg. For the next two years he worked as a Family Counsellor at the Office of the Family Advocate in the Department of Justice, Johannesburg, specialising children’s court work. In 1994 Daniel was awarded an honours degree in Social Work from the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Afterwards he worked for three years as a Social Worker at the Department of Social Development in South Africa. Between 1997 and 2005 Daniel worked in sales and marketing in Johannesburg, South Africa. Daniel is known for his compassionate approach to family matters. He is skilled at helping families through the temporary crisis of relationship breakdown. Outside work Daniel likes to keep fit by doing yoga, cycling and playing badminton. He also sings in a local choir and enjoys growing vegetables in his garden.
