I work as a Lead Design Engineer of exhaust systems - catalytic converters for both passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles. Everything is created in the Siemens NX or Catia V5 which are part of PLM system - Teamcenter 10. Mainly focused on surface modeling rather than solids. During project development I am responsible for providing proper 3D models (also for CFD and FEA simulation department) and 2D documentation, checking if components can be assembled - tolerance stack-up calculations. As a Lead Design Engineer I coordinate the work of the design engineers’ team and train new members of the department.
