Background

About Daniel Bonomo

For me, no issue is ever simply local. Growing up, I constantly found the connections between what was going on in my small North Carolina town and the issues facing my parents' hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Now, I use my innate desire to picture problems in a global context to find unconventional solutions. I work at my best in multicultural teams where I can put my interpersonal skills to use. I’m a young professional in Washington D.C. looking to establish myself in the foreign policy field.I'm excited about:• Solving complex problems at the intersection of politics, culture, and economics • Analyzing cross-regional politics, especially China-Latin America relations• Developing my knowledge of how institutions can foster regional and global developmentSome of my other interests include learning languages (on to Number 5: Vietnamese!), soccer, traveling, and cooking dishes from around the world.
